Community Service

In addition to the recognition and respect they have earned for their legal work, the attorneys at Libby O’Brien Kingsley & Champion, LLC are also well known for their contributions to the communities in which they live and work. The firm believes in “giving back” and both the firm and its attorneys have applied the same hard work and dedication to community and charitable endeavors as they have to the practice of law.

Gene Libby is involved in numerous community and professional organizations, including board member and founder of Mary’s Walk, which in 2013, its 15th year, exceeded $2 million in total donations, and formerly served as the President of the Maine Cancer Foundation. Gene was recently appointed to serve on the York County Committee of the Campaign for Justice, which raises funds to support legal aid organizations in Maine.  Timothy O’Brien has served on the boards of directors of the United Way of York County, the Education Foundation of the Kennebunks and Arundel, and he is a former member of the KBIA Youth Program. Gail Wolfahrt is a member of the Board of Directors of Avesta Housing of Portland, Maine, a Corporator of Kennebunk Savings Bank and is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Wellesley Cooperative BankBrian Champion is a former Treasurer and member of the Board of Directors Kennebunk Land Trust, a former member of the Board of Trustees of the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Maine Chapter, and an organizer of the MS Regatta / Harborfest. Libby O’Brien Kingsley & Champion, LLC is a member of the Kennebunk-Kennebunkport Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce, the Kennebunkport Historical Society and is a major sponsor of Mary’s Walk.
